Club Car Gas Problem Needs To Be Choked To Start

I need to almost choke completely of all air flow for motor to run. New head gasket, lapped valves & seat, cleaned head and piston top, new carb & gaskets new fuel pump, spark plug. If I starve it for air it'll start and run without much power. Let it breath and it dies. Frustrated.

What should compression be? Bought this cart, had this problem. I put all new parts and sure everything is tight. Where else cud there be a vac leak. I sprayed starter fluid all around carb gaskets. Not even a cough. So they're tight.

Tk u for info. I'll ck. Hopefully it's not the rings. The head looked good when I was cleaning. No noticeable cracks or warping. My granite level block is in shop at home in Fl. I'm at my summer camp in the Catskills. Tks again.

Tested compression. Right on at 140 psi. So I'm thinking rings are good. Not blowing down into crank case. Trying to think of where else a vacuum leak could be. Not around head gasket, nor carb intake manifold. Confused.
