I would like to get my Yamaha G-16 golf cart up to 20 MPH to make it street legal. I bought batteries to convert it from 36 to 48 volts. I understand it has a series wound motor that will work at 48 volts. What do I need to do in addition?

You'll need a 48 volt controller, solenoid and a battery charger.

Might have to change the charge port to match the 48 volt charger pattern.

Hi, would that also work on my older 1994 Yamaha G5E golf cart to convert it from 36 to 48 volts?
