i didnt get a chance to work on it today. but i have all of the pieces now though. do i have to use the spacer on the intake for some reason? it looks like there is plenty of room either way

i guess what im asking is will perform any better with or without it. i cant imagine 3/8" in distance would matter in velocity or volume

so the issue i am having now is how to vent the crank case. i plugged the stock vent hole in the valley and got a valve cover for a 23hp with the vent and as you can see in the pictures it won't fit with the dipstick tube there it might be as easy as just moving the other cover to that side but then i will lose access to the oil fill hole which probably doesnt matter because i dont ever have to add oil unless im changing the oil.......dunno ran out of decent light and its getting cold i dont have one of those fancy heaters like nubs has in his shop or decent lights.......tomorrow

oh yeah i have to run the spacer as it wont sit down all the way without it a second spacer wouldn't hurt either at least without the body on lol

I would pull the bolt out that holds the dip stick, spin it out of the way and put the valve cover on. maybe you'll just need to add to the bracket to remount it.
Could ya run a bracket from the support on the muffler:dazed:

i didnt get to do much today but a few trips to the hardware store and the bike shop. i think i have the throttle cable worked out and got the valve cover on and the dip tube moved out and the exhaust manifold support brace ground out to fit the oil tube.
