EZGO 2 Cycle Barely Turns Over

1990 EZGO gas 2 cycle barely turns over with plug in but turns over great with it out. New battery, solenoid, coil fuel pump & carb. What should I check. If I sit with foot on accelerator for 30 seconds or so it will finally start to turn over and the starts.

Is the starter spinning when the engine isn't turning over. If it is the belt is to loose/bad and slipping.

Starter is fine and spins. Just takes a long time go engage.

If the starter is spinning but the engine isn't the belt is slipping. The belt will heat up from slipping and eventually grab.

Have you checked the brushes in your starter?
