Run/Tow Switch?

Got a 2009 Club Car, Precedent I2 Excel.
For years now, when you turn the key, put it in gear, sometimes it won't go so you would have to lift the seat and switch from run to tow and back then it will run.
Could that just be the run tow switch, or could it be something else?

it could be the switch
it is a simple toggle/On-Off switch
but it may have corrosion on the terminals
or on the contacts
a bad connection in either place will prevent it from working right

Flipping the tow switch resets the controller so if there is any fault with anything electrical flipping the switch can reset it. The switch itself is usually never the culprit.
