Yamaha Gas Golf Cart Won't Run In Forward When It Gets Hot

I posted last year about a 86 Yamaha G3 gas golf cart I got. First off, had I known a one year odd ball, never would have bought, but too late. Anyway, it runs fine (love it as all the HOA old farts on carts!) but when get used/hot, and full stop it won't run and will do zip in forward. Like NOTHING. Reverse will work, but no forward. Yesterday reverse didn't work either? Sit for a few minutes (or more) and will go again. I did think maybe switch, and got one Bugs Unlimited but for a G2 all they had, and said should work. It does have a diff 4 wire small connector than mine, think same style 6 pin connector , but I didn't do anything last year as winter, and put away.
Now before I get into the WTF is going on, does anybody have any insight what could be happening? Relays getting hot, foot switch, solenoid? And on the switch bought, would the 4 pin be F/R, and the 6 pin lights, etc? I know my way around a wrench, not a wizz electrical!

I'll post more tomorrow as its motor exposed now, and seems like after 1986 was NEVER given a bath motor! Good soak simple green, hose, looks I see it again! Think my prob somewhere here, but I dunno..019.JPG028.JPG030.JPG031.JPG

So nobody has any opinion, even a clue? But Mothers Day, and W/E, so maybe Monday get some hints. If not always plan "B".............

well from your description I'm not sure if it runs or not, or is a shifting problem, does the starter turn over ?

Its just like posted in title. If used short amount of time, say a block, no problem. If I go a couple miles, nice and warmed up and stop at a friends and full stop, key to neutral on steering column, go back to forward it will do NOTHING. Zip. No sound, no click, nothing. It WILL go in reverse, but no forward. If wait a few minutes or more, it will run again forward but if stopped again, have to wait again. Its a 86 G3 gas 2 stroke, F/N/R is a only a key on the steering column. I really don't know where to start, but I will start testing at the switch. I hate electrical problems like this!

I agree with swapping the wiring on the solenoids to see if you loose reverse when warm.030.JPG

That what I was thinking of trying first. I really don't think key switch or any wiring there as I get a click somewhere around the motor a pedal push start so not foot micro switch. I'll flip the relays and see what happenes.
